What We Are Aiming For
Our target is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at level AA, across the public pages: the home page, the games catalogue, each game page, the team page, support and these documents.
This statement was last reviewed on the date above and is based on our own testing. No independent audit has been carried out yet.
What Is in Place
- Contrast. Every text colour was measured against the page background before it was allowed into the palette. Body text sits at 17.8:1, secondary text at 7.7:1 and the faintest label at 4.9:1. The first two clear AAA, the third clears AA. A grey that failed AA was removed during the rebuild.
- Reduced motion. If your system asks for less motion, animations and transitions across the site are cut to effectively nothing, including in the navigation bar.
- Works without JavaScript. Entrance animations start hidden only while scripting is confirmed working; if the script fails to load, the content renders visible instead of staying blank. Sorting the catalogue is an ordinary link with its own URL, not a script.
- Keyboard. Navigation, cards and controls are reachable with the keyboard, focus is visible, and a skip link at the top of every page covered by this statement jumps straight past the navigation to the main content.
- Structure. Pages use real headings in order, a single main landmark, and lists that are marked up as lists.
- Images. Meaningful images carry alternative text; images that are pure decoration are marked as such so a screen reader passes over them instead of reading a filename.
- Dark by design. The site declares its colour scheme, so browser controls, scrollbars and form fields match it rather than appearing as bright rectangles.
- Text scaling. Layouts are built with relative units and reflow rather than breaking when text is enlarged or the window is narrow.
Known Problems
These are real and we would rather name them than let you find them:
- The admin panel, the profile pages and the update-log pages predate the site rebuild. They have not been reviewed against WCAG and are known to be weaker than the rest of the site. Two of the three are not reachable by the public today.
- No independent accessibility audit has been done, and the site has not been tested against every screen reader and browser combination.
- Game pages take their colours from each game’s own artwork. We check the result, but a page tinted by art is harder to hold to the same contrast discipline as the rest of the site.
- Some interface copy is only in English.
Tell Us When Something Is Wrong
If a page, a control or a document is unusable for you, we want to hear about it. That report is worth more to us than another round of our own testing. Write to contact@starxstudio.com, or use the report form and pick "This website".
Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and what got in the way. If you use assistive technology, naming it helps us reproduce the problem.
We aim to reply within five working days, and to say either when we will fix it or why we cannot.
Our Games
This statement covers this website. Our games run on Roblox, where the platform itself sets much of what is possible, but accessibility feedback about a game is still welcome through the same channels, and we act on it where the platform allows.
