Cookie Policy

Three cookies, all of them necessary. No advertising, no tracking.

IN SHORT

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no analytics or tracking scripts today.

The cookies it does set are the ones that keep a session alive, keep you signed in, and remember the choice you made in the banner.

The Cookies This Site Uses

This is the complete list. Every one of them is strictly necessary: the site cannot work correctly without them, which is why they are set without asking.

connect.sid (1 hour)
The session cookie. It holds a random identifier and nothing else; everything the session contains stays on our server. It is what lets a form know it is talking to the same browser that loaded the page, which is how the site blocks cross-site request forgery. HTTP-only, same-site, and sent only over HTTPS in production.
token (30 days)
Set only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. If you never sign in, this cookie is never created. HTTP-only and same-site. Signing out deletes it.
starx_cookie_consent (1 year)
Records the choice you made in the cookie banner, so it does not ask again on every page. It holds one word, whether you accepted or declined, and no identifier. Without it we would have to show the banner forever.

What This Site Does Not Use

  • No analytics cookies. There is no Google Analytics, Plausible, Umami or equivalent on this site today.
  • No advertising or retargeting cookies, and no advertising networks of any kind.
  • No social media tracking pixels. The Discord and X links in the footer are ordinary links; nothing loads from those sites until you click.
  • No cross-site profiling, and nothing sold or shared with data brokers.

Video on a Game Page

Where a game page carries a trailer, what loads with the page is a still image and a play button, not a video player. Nothing is requested from YouTube, and no cookie of theirs is set, unless you press play.

If you do press play, the video is loaded from youtube-nocookie.com, the no-cookie domain Google runs, which does not set its usual advertising cookies for a video you have not watched. Once it plays, Google can see the request and may store what is needed to play it; what they do with that is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Not pressing play costs you nothing on the rest of the page.

Why the Banner Exists Anyway

Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. The banner is there for what comes next: we intend to add basic, privacy-respecting analytics so we can tell which pages are worth keeping, and no measurement cookie will be set before you have been asked.

Your answer is recorded now so that on the day analytics lands it already knows what you said, rather than starting by ignoring you.

Changing Your Mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer to bring the banner back and answer again.

You can also clear or block cookies in your browser. Blocking the session cookie will break any form on the site, since submissions will be rejected as expired, and blocking the sign-in cookie will sign you out. Blocking the consent cookie simply means the banner returns on your next visit.

Browser instructions: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge.

Inside Our Games

Our games run on Roblox, not on this website, and this policy does not cover them. What Roblox stores on your device while you play is described in the Roblox Privacy Policy.
